Hi I'm Julie, the hands behind every cake at Sweet indulgent Fancies.
My Story
For the past 11 years I've proudly owned Sweet Indulgent Fancies creating bespoke wedding cakes, celebration cakes and handcrafted sweet treats for customers across Bournemouth and Dorset.
My passion for cake decorating started long before I opened my business. I used to bake with my Mum and loved it. Over the years I've had the privilege of working at established venues such as The Queens Hotel and The Normandie Hotel gaining valuable experience and developing my skills in all things sweet.
What I believe in
For me it all starts with a conversation, I love getting to know each customer and finding out exactly what they really like so every cake feels personal and not off the shelf. I love creating cakes that are as individual as the people and occasions they celebrate. From elegant wedding cakes to fun and and creative birthday designs I take pride in bringing each customers idea to life. I use only the finest ingredients and take a genuine pride in never letting a customer down.
Recognition
I have won several awards over the years which I am very proud of. The first one was for the 3 Best Rated awards in Bournemouth which I have received for the last 6 years. In 2020 I received the winner of the cakes pastries and Sweets for Love Local Trust Local Awards.
Outside the Kitchen
I am married with 2 grown up girls. I love going to the gym and having a healthy lifestyle so therefore I don't eat much cake. I have a Springer Spaniel so she keeps me busy with walks and I also work on the bank at Bournemouth hospital just to keep my hand in.
